We are pursuing spiritual paths and disciplines, yet we are so thoroughly manipulated, being so close to our animal instincts. Reflect on your life and on those actions that you did or maybe do or intend to do. How many of them are based on an absolute understanding of who you are and what there is to be done in such a way that there are no surprises or negative circumstances?

They seemed to be more bound to the ideas themselves than to their essence, and to rituals more than to the internal, individual perception free from attributes and ideas.

Actually, I do not see the spiritual pursuit as a path or enlightenment as a goal, but rather, I see it as a very subtle state of Self-Being, like being in one’s own home yet absolutely aware and alert of all the aspects of eternal Being, expanded beyond the physical yet clearly aware of all the physical and mental processes at each moment of being. This state is a balanced state of absorption – meditation (to whatever degree) – whether one is awake or asleep. There is, in fact, no more sleep per se, for one who is in the equanimous Self-Being.

The desire to be happy also brings God into the picture. God is the highest form of happiness. In the same way, the desire to be happy brings addictions to the table (drugs, alcohol, sex, and other bodily pleasures), and spirituality is yet another idea of happiness.

When it comes to Natural Spirituality, nothing can or should be forced or imposed. Natural Spirituality means that it is emanating and connecting, through the same resonance, with a mature being (soul). Spiritual Knowledge is often misinterpreted and is seen as something that one almost tangibly acquires.
