It was similar to a lot of the spiritual scenes I was exposed to growing up—a lot of people concerned about a lot of themselves, their suffering, and ultimately their own neuroses. I vowed to myself to become an example of a deeply committed and spiritual person who on a daily basis was not drinking their own or anyone else’s “Kool-Aid,” as it were, that I would diligently and simply make my practice of infinity or spirituality about clearing myself enough of my own self-deception to be useful in any way to Society, to my family, and to anyone I came into contact with during the course of a day.
Now, that doesn’t mean that there are not the ups and downs of a regular life, the losses and gains, the failures and successes. But what it does mean is that my mind and body have been trained to enjoy it all, to use whatever is in front of me as a way to know the great mystery of myself a little deeper.
What takes a lot of time and energy is habitually trying to take the edge off of modern life with things that eventually leave you empty-handed. That includes the incessant fear of the future and habitually running from quieting ourselves for a moment, just enough to access some inherent human power called intuitive intelligence.
When you use any kind of mantra or chanting, it is not necessarily the meaning of the sound but actually the sound itself that awakens these elevated levels of consciousness. When you practice Kundalini Yoga, it sends a signal, a command to the Universe. I’m ready. I showed up this morning. I am showing up in my life. I’m engaging in a deeper resonance of my experience of being human. And I’m ready for more, and I’m ready for something that fits better with my current state of beingness and consciousness. And since it’s not new understanding that everything operates on vibrational resonance and frequency, you begin to generate a more heightened vibrational experience both internally and therefore externally.
That sound current—literally the word victory on your breath—will totally change your psychomagnetic frequency. When you put the sound victory on your own breath, then your whole psychomagnetic
THE MUSCULOSKELETAL SYSTEM
One of my favorite exercises for spinal health is called the Camel Flex. The exercise is simple but profoundly effective.
THE GLANDULAR SYSTEM The glandular system is sometimes also referred to as the endocrine system.
One of the basic exercises that will get your glandular system (and hormones) in order is Breath of Fire for seven minutes a day. When you hit that seven-minute mark, the pituitary and pineal glands start to release a very specific secretion that puts the glands back into balance.
