Introduction
“Only the dark can quench the thirst for the dark” Planetary crisis Humanity’s dark night of the soul The light of consciousness dims and the age of endarkenment looms We must learn to see in the dark light of the midnight sun The great unknown calls us to the event horizon of our dark divinity At the portal of initiation we are all thirsty for an ecstasy that will destroy and renew us will you drink?
All our spiritual traditions know that this core essence is ultimately unknown and unknowable. It is dark to our understanding and yet an integrated, awakened psyche and body can orient to it, sense it, vibrate with it and be guided by it.
This book is designed to support you to drink from that essence that lies both at your own centre as well as the centre of all centres.

The mystery, god, the divine, the absolute, the void. So many names for the unnameable. And while all religions and philosophies have a part of the truth, they are all evolving frameworks to support a particular space and time in evolution, that have their own death and rebirth cycle. One of the intentions of this book is to offer a unifying framework grounded in cosmology, to dissolve, transcend and include that which has gone before and to update spiritual frameworks to reflect the current cosmology of our time.
Chapter One — Dark Cosmology
What Lives at The centre? In the core of all beings a drop of the dark psyche to soma galaxy to quark At the heart of the heart of the earth a dark divinity shines Time and space surrender there and so will you
Our cosmology dictates our social systems, the way we order civilisations and what we expect from them.
Initiation could be said to be the process whereby this identification transitions from one level to another. We are currently so embedded in a materialistic and individualistic culture that it is hard for us to see that another form of identification is possible. The basic (largely unexamined) assumption in western society is that the individual personal self is at the centre.
Our monadic self is identified with that life. Our personal self is identified with our body-mind. Our soul therefore is the bridge between these two polarities. The soul is group conscious and therefore has humanity as its core level of identification.
Greater love has no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. (John 15:13) - is simply the natural expression of the inherent identification at the core of the soul.
Cosmologically there was no time and space before this event and so the timeless and infinite dimension does not occur in the universe and cannot be apprehended by us as manifest beings - and yet paradoxically we are not separate from that. The ‘darkness’ of the eternal is not simply the absence of light, light does not exist there because it is a product of manifestation and the primordial dark.
Janine
The first ring is the primordial dark. From this cosmic void that births everything and to which everything returns, emerges a spark of dark divinity, also referred to as the monad, that embarks on the journey of incarnation. The second ring is the sun, the soul, the transpersonal. A spark of dark divinity clothes itself in soul and dresses itself in transpersonal energies, archetypes and astrological alignments for this incarnation.
The third ring is the earth. The spark of dark, embedded in soul, clothes itself in more dense matter, a body and the personal self.
Difference between dark, shadow, evil & the primordial dark The word dark is used in different ways and contexts. The term dark may be used to describe shadow, evil, depression, heaviness or simply colour. This term can also be used to describe different densities of energy. When referring to matter, light is more subtle and finer in vibration.
Dark as heaviness, is density that is not integrated with light. The opposite is light cut off from density and gravity, which becomes ungrounded, disconnected from the earth and not fully embodying form in the here and now.
The dark is also used to describe shadow. The shadow, from a Jungian perspective, is the parts of ourselves that we have disconnected from and cast out into the unconscious. This can happen when there is a part of ourselves that we don’t like, or is shamed or rejected. We don’t really want to be that part which is perceived as bad or unwelcome. In the unconscious the shadow still operates but it is hard for us to see.
When the primordial dark is accessed through the ascension path and awareness the experience is typically one of emptiness and nothingness. When accessed through a descent path, it is experienced more as the vibrational field of everything. And when accessed through the heart, it is experienced as the wild current of love, the primordial dark that is our divinity.
Definitions of dark Non-Dual: The Boundless Immutable Principle, The Absolute. Unmanifest Dark: That which the manifest universes arise out of and dissolves back into. Beyond time and space. Manifest Dark: The invisible substance that the universe is made up of in all its subtle and gross manifestations. Relative time and space. Primordial Dark: Can refer to either of the above levels: That which was there in the beginning - that everything is birthed from and everything returns to and is also present in the core of all things, all awarenesses and all time. Dark Light: The source or origin of light and consciousness. Dark Matter: Matter which is invisible or non-luminous but has gravitational mass. Dark Energy: Invisible force thought to be behind the expansion of the universe. Black hole: Cosmic body of gravitational singularity. Dark in polarity to light: Within the realm of light and consciousness - that which is illuminated and that which is not. Shadow
or unconsciousness can refer to parts that have been disconnected from or disowned. Dark as Density: In this context the dark is used to describe more dense, descendant and earthier energies - in contrast to light which is used to describe more ascendant or ‘spiritual’ perspectives or vibrations. Vibrational Dark: The primordial dark as experienced when accessed through the matter pole. Dark as Evil: Religious or moral definition of forces, energies or beings opposed or counter to life, love and the light of our current understanding.
A Global Mythology
The soul longs for the dark nectar of living myth
Meaning is not simply given. It evolves and is continually being revealed at deeper levels that embrace and synthesise what has already been revealed. Logos and Mythos - served respectively by science and religion - need to evolve together.
When we live on a planet, in a solar system, in a galaxy, the light of our environment will always seem brighter to us.
From the perspective of the galactic centre there are hundreds of millions of stars.
The solar traditions of which Christianity is a beautiful example, express a solar truth. Jesus is the son/sun of God, the light of the world. No one comes to the father except through the son. He is crucified on the cross of the earth for our sins. Sin is an archery term that relates to the arrow missing the bull’s eye.
If each tradition is a galaxy then it has the same dark reservoir in its holy of holies.
Our emerging world story must have at least as much room as a galaxy that can hold eight billion stars, each with its own unique mythology and its own facebook page held together by a dark centre of living mystery that everyone can orbit.
Synthesis is not created but revealed. The planet was circling the galactic centre billions of years before humans even existed. We have only just become aware of this fact. The ‘universe as human being’ on this planet has become aware in consciousness of a deeper layer of itself. Only a culture that has a severe dislocation between the left and right hemispheres of its brain, between Logos and Mythos, could imagine that the penetration by our scientific telescopes that resulted in the capture of the first image of a black hole would not also have far reaching effects on our mythological world. The dark is psycho-active.
Opening to the mysteries of dark matter, black holes, quarks and bosons will have corresponding revelations in the evolution of living myth and mystical gnosis.
Catharsis purifies the outdated parts of the being that are embedded in the old source code, while ecstasis is the process of living revelation that builds in the new.
Janine
And even though humans don’t really ‘discover’ anything, only become conscious of that which already is, this
These discoveries in science, the esoteric and the shamanic are linked. Just as that which is discovered by science becomes available esoterically and shamanically, new experiences by those traversing the spiritual and shamanic realms become available for science to discover.
Civilisation & Culture
The egg of culture emerges from the dark womb of the mother/father is hatched in fire dies on the pyre
Peter Kingsley, in his book In the Dark Places of Wisdom3 makes a good case for the roots of the Greek intellectual tradition being in the practice of incubation (meditating in dark caves) by key philosophers such as Parmenides.
Radical change involves the root however. Anything else will be tinkering. Consider the revelation that only five percent of the universe is the kind of light and matter we know about. The vast majority is dark to us.
The noosphere4 or field of consciousness that is the world soul is the field out of which individual human selves derive their ideas, but that field is not acknowledged or seen to be of value and worthy of nourishment. The soul and soil of the world are fields in which the crops of human beings that make up a civilisation are grown. The way we currently treat both soul and soil is a sign of a deep pathology in our culture, and one that is showing forth as a defining limitation at its end.
One can translate this emergence of the importance of the field into other areas of human society. There are therefore two directives that support the emergence of the dark in both point and field dimensions. 1. Consciousness is not at the centre. The mystery of the primordial dark IS. Individual stars are not the most important thing and nor is the ‘team’ of stars or constellation. The prime directive lies at a deeper level than star and is what all stars circle - the black hole at the centre of all their orbits. What this means is that there is a ‘point’ more important or more primary than the point that they know themselves to be. 2. There is an emergent field that the points are contained within and which can emerge through them. This field is not simply the field of relationship between points. Light is the field of relationship between stars; but there is a dark field - the galactosphere in which the stars shine - it is indeed the source of their shining. That field can be listened to, vibrated with and emerge into expression through a group of stars.
An emerging civilisation will orbit a different centre. The last civilisation orbited consciousness, reason and scientific materialism. The new one will orbit mystery, uncertainty and dark gnosis. An emerging civilisation will have a different alignment or orientation. The last civilisation was oriented to the importance of the individual and the pursuit of individual liberty, happiness and fulfilment. The new one will be aligned to the emergence of the field that individuality is situated within. The presence of the universal in the core of each individual will be revealed.
The Soul of the World
The soul of the world is not simply a patchwork collection a quilt of individual souls trees, mountains, frogs, humans stitched together into a fabric It is a being whole unto itself wild, so beautiful and inherently free Only sing to it with your own wild song and it will answer
When an individual meditates for example, they are actively directing their awareness into other realms which could be shamanic (through the soul immanent) or spiritual (through the soul transcendent). If we reimagine the forest as a sentient being that the human is part of and lives within, is it such a leap to reimagine the cosmos as a great sentient forest that planets and stars and galaxies live within? If a human soul can commune with the soul of the forest, cannot a planetary soul commune with cosmos?
The soul of things is sweet and so with the emergence of the world soul, this sweetness, this suchness of things we would experience in the human soul as ‘beauty’.
Chapter Two — Dark Psychology
Being and becoming two birds on the world tree Evolution is the pressure of the eternal on the temporal the infinite on the finite New worlds emerge from - immemorial worlds cease at - the event horizon of Be-ness and carry on the cosmic dance
Revelation is the process whereby the consciousness of a system is progressively awakened to that which already IS in the world of Being.
Monadic psychology works with the dark core at the centre of the soul - the life principle. Being alive and becoming more alive is prioritised over staying alive.
Along with personal, transpersonal and universal or monadic psychology, each of which focus on a particular layer of the self, we could also distinguish between developmental psychology and depth psychology. Developmental psychology focuses on the sequential unfoldment of the structures of body and mind which are required for self-realisation. It works more with the world of becoming. Depth psychology works more with the world of being - seeing through all the surface structures to the archetypal world of the soul and then deeper into the timeless dimension of spirit.
Initiations are unfoldments where shifts are happening from one developmental stage to the next and also where revelations of deeper dimensions of the self are being experienced. When there is no awareness of a healthy depth and developmental psychological process, we remain uninitiated, give our power away unwisely and become addicted to stages of development we should naturally outgrow.
The human ages of 14, 42 and 70 years mark the midpoints of each development level of the self, while the human ages of 28 & 56 years represent the points of transition - the Saturn returns. Rituals and initiation journeys that mark these points, recognised by society, would be a sign of a healthy soul culture.
Time is spherical as well as linear, and we know from the theory of relativity that time and space are part of a single dynamic. The central point of the human life cycle (around 42) is when we should be pulled close to the singularity at the centre of our soul and have an experience with the timeless nature of our own being, which then sets the focus for the rest of the life. Time and space are both very different on the event horizon of a black hole. Reaching forward to receive guidance from our future self is comparable to looking deeper into our timeless origin.
It could be said that evolution is the result of contact between the finite and the infinite. The more contact, the stronger the evolutionary impulse. So, if we are to make an evolutionary jump as a species, it is contact with the primordial dark we need.
While our psychology develops over time, our dark divinity is present at each and every moment of time. In Greek, this is called kairotic time, which is the balance to chronological time (Chronos = Saturn).
Monadic development begins with what has been termed the ‘dark night of the soul’ - the fire begins to burn out and a gradual collapse into the black hole of the monad takes place. The emphasis shifts more into being, blessing and the darkness of presence.
star the size of Sirius B will one day become a black hole. In the same way when we are ready to ignite our soul shine as personalities, we find teachers who are already shining to help us with the transition. When we enter the dark night of the soul we find those who have experienced it and are living the reality of what is on the other side to be our guides.
Pathologies of our time There are two primary pathologies in the evolution of consciousness and the initiatory journey. Both of these we have seen at play in our current civilisation and they cause a painful lack of wholeness and disconnection from source. The first is when one level of consciousness attempts to repress, negate or control another. When solar consciousness first emerged, instead of integrating with the earth and lunar consciousness it became a battle. From the battle of the sun and the serpent in ancient Egypt,7 to the killing of Python by Apollo at Delphi,8 to Saint Patrick driving of the snakes out of Ireland9 - western history is full of examples that show an immature solar consciousness. Instead of the alchemical marriage of sun and moon, the goddess temples were destroyed, witches were burned at the stake, the wisdoms of the erotic and emotional life were negated in favour of the mind.
The so-called patriarchy is fundamentally a ‘boy-archy’- an immature expression of the masculine side of a duality that when uninitiated, seeks to control that which it fears. This may have been a somewhat inevitable result of the overall stage of human development, but it certainly has caused much suffering. We see it at the root of Greek myth when Chronos (Saturn) castrated Ouranus and then became the Father of Zeus (Jupiter). If Chronos divides the original phallic principle into three parts (of 28 years each) then Zeus further divides it into seven, as the Jupiter cycle around the sun takes 12 years (equals 84 years).
The sun and moon are the two luminaries and in fact the light of the moon originates in the sun. The lunar light is closer to the dark because it isn’t dazzled by its own brightness. The sun and moon represent two very different approaches to the mysteries.
If the sun is associated with a path of ascent and transcendence, then the moon helps us descend through matter to the dark. In the solar mysteries the initiate climbs Jacob’s ladder, ascends to the father (black hole) in heaven, scales the mountain and brings down the fiery word. In the lunar mysteries the initiate descends, stripping away the veils of matter, surrendering into the darkness and density until she contacts the primordial dark.
The heliosphere and the galactosphere can be accessed just as easily through the south pole as they can through the north.
The relationship between the sun and the moon and their hieros gamos (sacred marriage) is the epitome of the soul mysteries. It was taught in the last mystery schools and is now trying to emerge in society at large, which is why we see all the interest in tantra and sacred sexuality.
sun. The lunar mysteries access the dark through matter, eros and the unconscious. Planetary kundalini is the dark light stored up in matter, and its rising is what allows the human being to make the transition from personality-centric to soul-centric. Therefore the soul gaze of those who are awake needs to be turned not only towards the galactic centre or black hole, but also toward the planetary core and what lives at the heart of matter.
If the first pathology was more of a vertical repression then the second is horizontal. The point dominates the field. When the outer science of astronomy for example dominates the inner science of astrology we lose the meaning of our relationship to cosmos. When the particle dominates the wave we have an individualistic culture and lose our vibrating participatory connection with the world around us.
Cosmic rays from the galactic centre pass right through our physical earth. The universe has no centre but the cosmic radiation from the big bang is still vibrating across all of space. One way to explore black holes is to focus our visual telescopes on them. Another way is to go deep underground with very subtle receptors that pick up the gravity waves of black hole collisions (the LIGO experiment).12 In human psychology this is equivalent to the journey through consciousness or meditation and the journey through the body. We can shift our awareness to the galactic centre perspective or we can tune into the dark by means of the vibrations of our matter. Calibrating our consciousness involves awareness awakened to the dark. Calibrating our bodies involves clearing them of past traumas, refining the matter and running the current of planetary kundalini.
Mythologically the soul could be said to be a hermaphroditic winged dragon. The winged dragon or flying snake is the integration of the ascending and descending paths, while the hermaphrodite refers to the integration of the point and the field.
As the initiatory process continues, we may see the eventual integration of all three levels of the self and all three fields. Our Gaia wisdom connects us with the earth and helps us make choices that support all the life we share it with. Our solar/lunar wisdom helps us balance the paths of ascent and descent so the soul is experienced as both transcendent and embodied. Our galactic/monadic wisdom opens us to the ground of being that lives at the core of spirit, matter and soul alike. We dance at that sweet interface between the unchanging eternal reality and the evolving fertile creative life.
The Three Paths to the Dark The personality that has not yet been soul infused is quite rightly afraid of the dark. Premature contact with it tends to drive the personality into the arms of the soul because this is the natural evolutionary step for it. When the soul is able to operate somewhat independently of the body-mind it can experience the dark of the monad in three distinct ways. It can experience it on higher planes when it has transcended the body-mind and turned its gaze directly to the centre of the soul’s orbit - the monad. This is the path of mystical union with the divine dark and activates the heart. In the same way that the light from the sun cannot penetrate the event horizon of a black hole, the soul cannot know God, the dark father. It comes to the edge of everything that can be known, perceived or experienced and yet still persists until it…
The second way the soul can connect with the monadic dark is through the centre of its own sphere. In the cosmological analogy the first path is to the black hole. The second path is through the heart of the sun. When the soul engages in deep self-enquiry and seeks the source of its own awareness it eventually drills down into emptiness. This is the more occult path - to discover God at the centre of your own being. The soul first of all learns to rest as pure witness, subject without object, and then makes itself the object of its own penetration. The diamond clarity at the centre of the I of the soul penetrates itself. One of the names for this kind of initiate is a self-perforate. On…
The third path is to discover the dark of the monad in matter. The soul descends through all the layers of matter to discover the dark curled up as the core of density. Kundalini is the dark of spirit hidden in the base, and when it rises up the central column or sushumna then the dark body begins to activate. In the same way that there are three levels of personality, soul and monad, each of these is also triple, and this triplicity continues fractally. There is the mind, emotions and physical body within the body-mind. Then the physical body itself also has an etheric chakra system which is widely known as the ‘light body’. This body activates as the soul is able to land in the body and the solar and lunar lights come together. This is normally the stage when the tantric path of integration between consciousness and sexuality takes place. After this consummation the dark mother rises up the central column, purifying and vivifying. This is the dark-in-the-light body and there…
On the descending path it should be pointed out that there is an important difference between the conscious and wilful descent of the soul to and through the core of matter and a regression of consciousness into an unconscious primal state or the indulgence of the personality desires. Persephone may at first be dragged down by Pluto into Hades but eventually she must unite the lunar and solar forces within herself and make a conscious choice to descend and learn to hold her presence as Queen of the underworld. On both the ascending and descending path the soul discovers the darkness of spirit that is more powerful than it, and to which it must surrender. On the path through the centre of itself the soul discovers that it too is dark in its own essential nature, and this allows it to unify spirit and matter. ‘I and the (dark) father are one’ was the…
Ultimately the dark mother and the dark father are rooted in the same dark. The Mayans believed that there was a doorway to the centre of the galaxy to be found in the centre of the earth and this expresses something of that truth. The three doors - at the heart of the galaxy, at the heart of the…
For most individuals there is a tendency to take one door first and then to continue to find the dark by means of that modality. For deep integration it is wise to learn how to pass through each door, which may mean…
Having a specific practice dedicated to each of these three paths is helpful, and when a level of achievement is gained in each then the revelation of something else begins to dawn - a revelation that can only be experienced, and in the Trans-Himalayan esoteric texts is called ‘the…

The word psychology is usually used in relation to the personal psyche. As we are exploring in this book the three rings of the personal, soul and monad and the links to cosmology through the planet, sun and black hole, we can also apply this to the realm of psychology. Personal psychology is focused on the personality, personal psyche and personal healing and growth. This is an important exploration at a particular part of the evolutionary and integration journey. However, without an understanding of the soul or transpersonal psychology, or the relationship between the personal self and…
Monadic or dark psychology is supporting a being to remember and connect with its dark core. To have that recognised, seen and reflected. This is the role of the modern mystery school with a dark cosmology in the centre, and those souls that have awakened and are embodying the monad, in a world that is not yet an expression of monadic embodiment. For beings to be not only supported in their personal development and soul initiation of the first two rings, but also their monadic embodiment. Monadic psychology needs to be integrated through the initiation process. Where the dark core in the centre of the soul is seen and recognised and supported to bring forth the life principle.
Monadic psychology is an important role for elders. Elders who have consciously embodied the initiation points of their Saturn returns at around 28 and 56 years old, creating a natural pathway to more deeply accessing the monad, their dark divinity. Part of the role of initiated elders is to be this monadic transmission. To support younger beings through their thresholds and initiations of becoming aware souls living the love and purpose of their incarnation, with their dark transmission, gaze and blessing.
As the primordial dark is outside time and space, contact with it may create evolutionary leaps in consciousness and matter. The speed of the dark, in the context of dark energy and dark matter, is faster than the speed of light. It is possible that the impact of the dark expressing through cosmic rays and atoms may have catalysed genetic mutations responsible for evolutionary leaps in the past.
An example of a large polarity playing out in humanity is the ascending and descending philosophical poles, also known as the solar and lunar paths. Putting these poles on a metaphorical cross, the vertical axis is the ascending and descending philosophies of most religious, esoteric and shamanic world views.
The ascendant or solar path may be accessed through prayer, meditation, surrendering the personal will to the divine and strengthening alignment with divine will. On the ascension path there is a quality of light immersion that activates ecstatic experiences of love in the upper heart, a sense of protection, absolution and healing. The solar path involves accessing the soul as light. It is a place of expansion and spaciousness, showered by rays of light and love. A journey to the soul on the ascension path to the primordial dark experienced through the ascension as peace, eternal loving presence and emptiness. Some religions refer to this as going to the father through the son. However, when the personal self becomes identified with this pole or addicted to the light, without it moving all the way to the primordial dark, it may become fanatical or self-righteous, creating a new identity around finding the one true way. It may become transcendent and ungrounded, polarised in self-righteousness, leading to violence and war against the other pole and what is seen and experienced as the forces of darkness.
The lunar path is the experience and exploration of descent into the body, density, the emotions, and the blood and guts of life, that can bring with it intensity and chaos. This is a descent into the earth. This is the world of matter, of form, the material, and elemental magic. Divinity IN matter. God immanent. The descent pole explores the sacredness of life that is in the very core of matter itself, the vibrational matrix that nourishes all of creation. The living interconnectedness and realisation of each spark of divinity in human form, taking its place as a cell in the body of the world soul, in relation to the song lines of the land, in the ecstatic embodied dance of life itself. When there is a connection with the source of divinity in matter, the self drops through the fear of survival at the base that drives material desperation and a sense of scarcity, and falls into the nourishment of the primordial dark.
The daughter going home to the mother. Just as the ascent path can get stuck in the light, the descent path can get stuck in the dark of polarity without going all the way through to the primordial dark. This may be expressed as manipulating the mysteries and magic of matter for the ego’s desires and self-obsession, getting lost in the density of matter, looping and getting stuck in the emotional body, or material greed.
The horizontal axis of the metaphorical cross represents the point and the field, which explore the poles of sovereignty and synergy. The point polarity exploring itself as an individual, separate to the field, whether this is an individual person, a group, a nation or a body of work. Developing a sense of self. The wave knowing itself as separate from the ocean. When the point dominates the field we have rogue cells operating separate to the whole, creating disconnection and pathology. Following individualism at the expense of the whole, expressing as selfishness, disregard - being out of vibrational attunement with the whole.
Chapter Three — Dark Soma
What lifts me up is also emerging from my depths What calls me forth into the world is the world shaking my foundations We build again with what remains on the stone we forgot or perhaps had never truly known.
Higher levels of consciousness must connect with deeper levels of matter - every angel has a corresponding demon. When the soul finds the singularity of the monad at the core of awareness it is then able to also penetrate matter to its dark singularity and access the energy stored in the atoms - the prima materia - the matrix out of which matter arises. Ultimately these two darks, the transcendent and the immanent are part of the same dark but they are often experienced sequentially.
In the realms of conscious enlightenment the stage is reached where awareness transcends the subject/object duality and then everything is experienced as arising within it like clouds in the sky - thoughts, experiences, objects. It is this experience that leads to the (solar) belief that the universe is simply non-dual awareness and that the realm of matter is samsaric. This has a particularly eastern flavour where the ultimate aim is to transcend the illusory three-dimensional worlds - the attachments to which are the root of suffering - and to end the cycle of death and rebirth. This is detachment, the shadow of which can be disassociation or spiritual by-pass.
As awareness, it thinks it is its thoughts, desires, instincts and so forth. When the soul is consciously identified with spirit it can turn to penetrate or vibrate the mysteries of matter fully open. However, this requires a new degree of humility before these mysteries.
kundalini. Many people consider they have had a kundalini arising when a new layer of the energy of matter opens, but the layers are as endless as the soul’s journey into spirit. They also have horizontal expansion - my eros, our eros, the universal eros. When the dark core is found in both matter and spirit the soul can truthfully say it is at-oned.
The darkness of spirit is pure presence, but the darkness of matter is pure vibration. The universe is the dance of both.
Transcendent to this world of mind is the world of soul or pure awareness. We might call this ‘witness consciousness’ as it is able to be free from mind and can witness thinking. This equates to the heliosphere, that ball of solar energy surrounding the sun and planets. When awareness finds its root in emptiness we have the realm of pure being, the monadic realm or the dark of spirit. This equates to the galactosphere - the sphere of dark matter that surrounds and permeates the whole galaxy. These are the realms of the conscious and superconscious in both its light and dark dimensions.
When kundalini or the dark in matter awakens in the individual there is often a profound purification that occurs as all of the levels above are activated.
He talked about the spirit of the depths rising up to meet the spirit of the times. The spirit of the times is the river of our modern-day world with its evolving culture - the world of becoming. The spirit of the depths is the unchanging ever-present world of being.
They are like a middle current that has already emerged from the depths and now is a lineage or underground river flowing into many tributaries. To continue with the water analogy, a tradition not only takes the form of an underground river but also has a transcendent ‘soul’ like evaporated clouds of water vapour that can rain down from above.
The well of the mysteries, renewed in each age, allows these currents to meet and inform each other. For our thirst to be quenched, the water must contain the eternal life of the spirit of the depths, and yet be integrated with the traditions it has inhabited before, and also express in the spirit of the times. This is a Magnum Opus, the great work.

Descent map to the primordial dark in matter
Opening the pathway to the primordial dark, experienced as the vibrational dark through the body, is a journey of descent. A descent into density and into deeper and deeper levels of embodiment. The embodiment path is the journey of fully inhabiting and connecting with the felt sense of experiencing life, feelings, sensations, soul and the primordial dark within the body. Paths of embodiment, no matter from what tradition, utilise three important ingredients to support their opening - breath, sound and movement. The breath is always in the present and as we bring attention to the breath and breathe more fully into the body, it is a gateway to embodiment and to deeper layers in the body. It is also the bridge between the veils of creation, and between life and death. Breath can be used: • For relaxation and to down-regulate, with deep, slow breaths into different parts of the body e.g. heart, belly and base centres. • To stimulate through rapid breathing, such as the fire breath, as a way of generating and moving energy. • For journeying into altered states of consciousness e.g. shamanic breathwork. • To feel more through awareness, fullness and embodiment of the breath.
Movement can take the form of the mind willing the body to move, which impairs the descent path to the vibrational dark. Or movement can be upwelling from the body itself, which supports the path of descent. The body is an intelligent being and at the primal, animal level knows how to move in a way that will release blocks, open energy flow and life force, open blocked emotional and erotic pathways, and vibrate in the subtle. The key is to ground and connect to the earth, and let the energy move you, rather than your will directing the energy. If movement is a challenge, dance and especially ecstatic dance, can support the opening of this portal into the body.
The path of descent starts with breath, sound and movement, from a place of organic naturalness not force, and bringing your awareness into the body, its feelings and its sensations.
If you find yourself looping in mental gymnastics of the mind, quite often it is because it is a way of avoiding something that is wanting to be felt. If you find yourself stuck in an emotional loop, the feeling has not been felt all the way to its core. Deep emotional clearing is shamanic, working with the elements of earth, fire, water, air and ether to support the movement of emotional energy. Embodying the elements supports the movement of emotional energy in the body.
It is important to not get stuck in looping emotional energy or catharsis, but rather to breathe, open, fully feel, pause, breathe, feel some more and to keep opening and vibrating and descending through emotional portals. Ease and flow, following waves of intensity, release and more gentle waves, ebbs and stillness. Getting stuck at this level can be supported by titrating and pendulation with an experienced trauma therapist, if it feels intense to the point of overwhelm, or if you have unresolved complex trauma.
Erotic energy is the energy of attraction and polarity and also generates life force. When you start moving eros, it can bring enough creative life force energy that allows blocked emotions to open and move. Conversely freeing up and clearing the emotional body also frees up eros.
Addiction to looping in the emotional and erotic bodies can be a way of avoiding going deeper into unfelt layers in the subtle matter of the next level in the path of descent.
Even though, when reached, the layer of trauma may then feel the intensity of the emotional and erotic bodies is too much, in a lot of cases it was needed. The reason being, without the intensity of the energy generated in the emotional and erotic bodies, there may not have been enough life force generated for the trauma layers personally and collectively to have been accessed.
As we move through the trauma layer, with more subtle movements such as shaking, subtle trembling, trauma release exercises and somatic movement and intelligence, we start to connect with the more subtle vibrational frequencies of the soul as accessed through matter. Vibrational frequencies that we may be aware of as soul notes, as lived concepts and ideals, accessed through feeling and embodiment. Soul frequencies such as trust, gratitude, devotion, innocence and surrender. Soul frequencies as vibration in the body.
Once we can create the pathway to the vibrational dark, we don’t need to necessarily go through all the layers of density each time to feel this. The pathway opens from the vibrational dark, first as a trickle, then as a flow that starts to upwell and pull everything into it, including the somatic, erotic and emotional layers. This is one of the reasons vibrating the body is important in the guided journeys that can be found in the online course based on this book (https://www.ourdarkdivinity.life/online-course). It supports deeper connection to matter and activates the vibrational dark.
Accessing the primordial dark through matter is an experience of nourishment. Nourishment of the atoms, cells, nervous system is in the vibrational dark. The dark milk. The more attuned we are to that place and the stronger the pathway of opening to the current, the more resourced we will be, moving through life from a place of overflow.
Matter and the atomic An abundant source of divine energy is accessed through the atom, the smallest particle of matter. One way of contacting this power is for consciousness to penetrate the atom. However, as we have seen, splitting the atom from a place of separation - trying to control nature without love and connection to the divine dark - can have catastrophic consequences. This power is a mere glimpse of what can be attained in the atom through vibrational synergy - accessing the dark divinity of the atom through loving resonance.
When the physical world is realigned with its own energy source, its dark divinity, creation becomes ecstatically alive, it begins to vibrate and sing. This vibrational song that naturally upwells in nature when the dark light has been activated, vibrates the power and love of the primordial dark.
Traditionally it was the priestesses who understood the magic of nature. This developed from the innate feminine understanding of the vibrational synergy of life. What we call magic is an ability to work with matter and the elements on an energetic level connected to the web of life. Rather than a manipulation of matter or using the will to dominate matter, when we connect with matter in love and synergy, the elements arrange themselves around that.
Chapter Four — Dark Fields
Time and space are the robes of the goddess each sphere is a womb for the incubation of a life and its soul The vibration of the grandmother can still be felt tasted, and danced with At the core of each sphere one dark song sounds through all creation
Planet Field - Magnetosphere - magnetic field Caused by - Movement of molten iron in core Exists within - Heliosphere Zone of Interface - lonosphere Phenomena at Interface - Aurora borealis -interaction of solar wind and magnetic field. Star Field - Heliosphere - Solar Wind Caused by - Nuclear fusion in the core Exists within - Galactosphere - Interstellar Medium Zone of Interface - Heliopause Phenomena at Interface - interaction of solar wind and cosmic rays Galaxy Field - Galactosphere - cosmic rays Caused by - Active Galactic Nuclei Exists within - Universe - Intergalactic Medium Zone of Interface - Galactopause Phenomena at Interface - Tidal stripping and cosmic ray shockwaves
We become interested in how our sexual and spiritual energies operate together, how the eros of our body and soul resonate.
matter. As the sunlight shines into the ocean, longer wavelengths (like red) are absorbed and only the shorter wavelengths penetrate to greater depths. Holes in the ozone layer near the south pole result in more ultraviolet rays entering. Direct correlations can be made for human beings. The light of the soul with its seven ‘rays’ can penetrate our minds (atmosphere) more easily than our emotions (oceans) and our bodies (physical matter).
Cosmic rays from supernovas, active galactic nuclei, pulsars and other sources permeate the galactosphere. The intergalactic medium is relatively empty (there is on average only one atom per cubic metre)17 but highly energised. The heliosphere provides some protection from cosmic rays, as does the magnetosphere…
We are only just beginning to explore the effect of the cosmic radiation on the evolution of life on earth. Fluctuations in the earth’s magnetic field, including periodical pole reversals, as well as fluctuations in the solar field, have created epochs of very different exposure to radiation. What is being called the Paleo Apocalypse or Paleopocalypse20 appears to be associated with the extinction of the Neanderthals as well as a range of other…
In humans the planetary electromagnetic field is our health aura, our chi, our chakras and physical vitality. It also includes the emotional and mental bodies. Our heliosphere is the field of our soul, and we can experience it in both transcendent and immanent capacities. Transcendent soul is experienced trans- mentally and would be like crossing over the aurora borealis. This would be like experiencing the soul directly without it being filtered through the fields of the body-mind. We are identified as the light of the sun, Sol, throughout the heliosphere. Experiencing soul immanent would (by analogy) be like attuning to the sunlight as it pours…
The dark of the galactic dimension of ourselves, or the monad, can be experienced in three different ways. We can experience the cosmic rays as they pass through and penetrate our body-mind. We can experience the ‘dark light’ as it passes through the heliosphere so we are experiencing the monadic radiation within the sphere of the soul. And we can also cross over the heliopause and experience the dark of the galactosphere or interstellar medium directly. The level of galaxy is primary, the level of star is secondary and the level of planet is tertiary. They exist in a hierarchy or holarchy; they are nested. If you remove the galaxy you lose the planet, but if you remove the planet you still have the galaxy. Therefore, in human beings, the monad is primary even though for practical purposes most people behave as if the personality was primary. The…
Each of these three levels of physics and metaphysics has a point and a field. These points orbit each other and their fields interpenetrate. Each level also has its own triple expression. The sun for example, has its own magnetic field as well as emitting both electromagnetic radiation and cosmic rays. The earth has its own radiation emissions, and so forth.
The Laser Interferometer Gravitational-Wave Observatory (LIGO)23 detects gravitational waves generated by far away events like the merging of black holes. What therefore might be the equivalent in metaphysics? How does the presence of monadic energy equate with spiritual mass? What is the organising force that draws personalities, souls and monads together and induces them to orbit each other?
Working with Fields in Group Process We are perhaps more familiar with the generation of fields in paired relationships. Often the term ‘relationship container’ implies a shared field that might consist of physical/erotic, emotional, and mental energies and…
The field can be homogenous or highly differentiated. The boundaries of the container can be tight or diffuse. There is often a dynamic interplay between how fused the two identities are and how sovereign they are. Often one partner may be paying more attention to the field while the other pays more attention to the agency of the points or identities in the field. Group fields involving mainly personalities revolve around mental concepts, agreements and ideas. They can…
Group fields consciously involving souls and monads are more complex. The dance of the seven veils conveys something of the nature of the relationships as we veil and reveal…
An initiated group is one where the cores have come together forming a singularity. This creates a dark centre for the souls of the group members to form a stable soul field supporting the supernova-ing of each and…
Increasing the dark in the field can be done in a number of ways. 1. Strengthening the supermassive black hole at the centre of the field so that individual members reveal more of their cores to each other and therefore recognise the singularity that is ever present but unconscious. 2. Strengthening the spiritual mass of the group through a…
- Vibrating the matter of the group field by access to planetary kundalini so that it continues to refine and is better able to hold a stable vibration of dark energy. 4. Holding appropriate boundaries within the wider fields we…

Human beings are also points that exist within a field. And whatever is discovered in the macrocosm (i.e. cosmology) can also be applied within our own inner cosmology. It is interesting to note that each cosmological discovery in the macrocosm, quite often corresponds with a parallel discovery in the microcosm (i.e. particle theory). The earth is the point in the field of the solar system revolving around the sun. In the field of the galaxy, our solar system as the point, revolves around the black hole or galactic centre. And then the galaxy…

Chapter Five — Group Initiation
Nine gates three doors One journey with earth from the dark to the dark in the dark
In the Aquarian Age the focus is on group initiation. This term is inclusive of, but not limited to, groups of human souls coming together to undergo initiation.
Earth as a cosmic entity has an embodied soul the Greeks called Gaia, and a transcendent dimension - Ouranos. Earth has its own solar teacher - the Sun - which it orbits around, and a monadic point at the centre of the sun’s orbit - the galactic centre.
According to the Trans-Himalayan teachings, in the current era - starting at the beginning of the twentyfirst century - earth is taking initiation. This means the being of the earth itself is being initiated by higher orders or dimensions of consciousness in cosmos. It also means that the effects of this initiation will be felt by and passed through humanity. The human kingdom is the fourth out of seven in the planetary life, in the same way that the heart chakra is the fourth in the human system. The soul of the earth is using monadic contact in order to open its heart.
When the human personality begins to be initiated by the soul, it experiences glimpses of vaster realities, tastes of ecstasies unknown before, and vibratory catharsis that clarifies and purifies its sheaths. This happens inside the individual experience via a direct gnosis, and it also happens as a result of inter-personal effects - transmissions from others, the participation in group fields and relationships in general. There are also external effects from the environment including the food we eat, macro issues like climate change, solar and cosmic ray activity and so on.
The earth as a sentient intelligent cosmic being has many ways to bring about initiatory influence on humanity. It is also important to realise that while the focus of the current cycle (specifically from 2000 to 2049) is on the fourth kingdom, the overall evolutionary impulse is much larger and by no means human-centric.
Another name for the planetary monad when considering the earth as a whole is ‘Shamballa’. The kingdom of Shamballa then is the sixth kingdom (counting up) and the reservoir of monadic life. Universal Life Monadic Life Soul Life Human Life Animal Life Vegetable Life Mineral Life
the ‘dark light of Shamballa’ - can form a spiritual organ, like the pupil of an eye. They will then act as transmitters within the field of human activity and be one of the causes of initiatory activity in the global psyche. This will require a radical evolution in what we think of as governance and power. When we refer to initiation in the individual, group or collective sense there are three components that relate to the three access points to the dark. There are the vibrational states of matter that make up the various planes, dimensions, kingdoms of nature and so forth. There are also the states and stages of consciousness as they express in and through this matter. And finally there is the life current, identified with greater and greater wholes, that is at the root of the consciousness and matter alike. These three are expressions of one life that is both embodied as the universe, permeates it and transcends it.
Predominant issues of the initiations: First initiation The experience of soul awakening affecting the heart and body. Strong motivation for change (born-again phenomena) and purification of behaviour, especially concerning diet, sex, speech, livelihood, etc. Devotion to the spiritual path begins. Second initiation Capacity to bring the love of the soul into mastery of the emotional, erotic, and physical/etheric body. Transformation of relationships and capacity to hold the identity as love. Third initiation Full awareness of the purpose of the soul in incarnation in the mind and Life given to its expression in the world. Grounding that purpose through the emotional and etheric bodies in the attempt to anchor the will aspect of the soul in the base. Stable kundalini arousal and transfer of identity to the soul. Fourth initiation Full atonement of spirit and matter via the crucifixion of the embodied soul as it lives its purpose in the world. The extremity of the soul in service brings increasing monadic fire, which eventually destroys the causal body and frees the soul to operate on the buddhic plane. Fifth initiation Bringing the monadic energy into full expression and the shift of identity from soul to monad. Working with planetary kundalini and global movements of soul emergence. Revelation of the mysteries of spirit/matter so that physical manifestation or dematerialisation is made possible. Cosmic paths begin to open.
The identity shifts from the personality to the soul which is now consciously and fully incarnate with access to all its inherent power, wisdom and love accumulated through long cycles of incarnation. In order to effect this initiation which results in the transfer of identity, the soul draws upon the monad to help it anchor in the base centre, resulting in the arousal of kundalini.
From the Christian perspective the soul has now transfigured the personality. Globally this initiation lies far ahead, but will be the outcome of the full emergence of the world soul. Currently the major collective struggle is occurring between the love aspect of the soul and the emotional body of the personality - hence the deep need for heart awakening and transformation on the planet.
fifth degree initiate then is someone who has stably realised their monadic identity on the atmic plane and is therefore able to transmit the third aspect of the monad - the dark light - into the realms of soul and personality. Initiation results in the expansion of consciousness, an increase in the capacity to love inclusively and vibrational change in the vehicles through which the being is expressing.
The process of initiation can be accelerated around the third degree via what is termed ‘identification’. When it is realised that initiation results in a shift of identity then it can be enhanced by the use of will.
What starts with a peak experience that occurred one percent of the time becomes relatively stable by the time 67 percent is reached and the individual can then be said to be initiate. Identification can accelerate this process through the applied use of the will. This is like a mountain climber using an anchor higher up the rock face to pull up their gear. If a small part of the self is able to get an…
Fifth degree initiates are those able to stably hold monadic identity and are therefore able to lift others via the ropes of their consensual will. They are also able to transmit the dark…
When the individual or group understands the process they can speed it up through the conscious cooperation of their will. The will can be used for example to ‘refuse to fall back’ - to hold onto the higher vibrational reality when the natural cycle occurs. It can also be used to ‘actively fall’ - to wilfully take the higher vibration of soul or monad down with you when the descent cycle occurs. It is the use of effort to hold a deeper identity regardless of the plane that one is…
For humanity as a whole, very few have achieved the mastery of the fifth degree, but because each soul IS humanity in essence then each soul has access to that achievement. Which means we have an anchor point high up the mountain and deep within the earth. The activation of the will through identification can also be applied to kundalini and the cathartic purification of matter. Remember that what we call matter and spirit is in reality one substance vibrating at different frequencies. Evolution and initiation is not simply a process of lifting identity into higher frequencies we call spirit. It…
An initiate of the third degree is able to lift soul kundalini through the fields of the body-mind by taking the will of the soul down into the base centre. In effect they are able to hold conscious presence and identity as the soul in the densest vibration of the survival instinct. This connects the soul on its own planes through the personality so that a channel is opened for soul energy to vibrate up the chakras. In effect this is like the heliosphere permeating the biosphere. An initiate of the fifth degree is able to lift planetary kundalini, which is an aspect of universal…
Monadic heart is developed via the application of the will to stay connected with the love of the whole, with universal love, despite the tendency to be pulled back into the agendas and behaviours of either transpersonal love or personal love. Note that these levels of loving still exist and are embodied but that the centre of gravity of the heart - its level of identification - stays more and more in the universal.
Indeed one of the major technologies for invoking the monad is the ‘extremity of the soul in service’. What this means is that one actively expects and anticipates the ‘burn’ of being too stretched because one has committed to more than can be achieved with the resources one has. That expected tension is the time to wilfully call on the monad and expect the lightning or kundalini. This is the equivalent to the ‘second wind’ for the long-distance runner.
In a personality-based culture, those with more outer authority, wealth, sex appeal, persuasion, knowledge and so on tend to dominate. In a soul culture, those who naturally embody and express service to and as the greater whole reveal themselves over time. They become self-evident. As we build a soul civilisation the needs of the personality to be recognised, validated and affirmed, and the needs of the soul to serve, love and creatively express will converge and coalesce. It will also become gradually more apparent who are the galactic representatives amongst humanity. In other words, who are the monadically identified fifth degree initiates who are able to naturally hold planetary purpose and work with planetary kundalini.
We can grow our own nascent fifth degree capacity by the triple work of the dark. First, we can take the perspective of the whole. In meditation, actively shifting the identity to the centre of the greater spheres of which we form a part. The galactic centre, the sun, the earth as a whole. We are training our capacity to identify in awareness. Second, we can attempt to feel as the greater whole through our heart centre. To love as the whole embracing all of the parts.
Third, we can attempt to attune the vibration of our matter to the vibration
of the greater whole.
For an entity to take initiation requires both an act of will and an act of grace. The act of will comes from the self as it is, asserting its divine right to revelation, to the inflow of energies from deeper inner and outer sources. The act of will is undertaken out of a desire to serve the whole with more capacity. Our collective act of will, as humanity, is an invocation for transmission from the planetary monad, linked as it is to both the core of the earth and the core of the galaxy. The act of grace comes from beyond us - from deeper and as yet unrevealed dimensions of our inner life, or from outer centres and sources of which we were also unaware.
Every soul magician needs a good word of power in emergencies. Soul tension is an emergency - an opportunity for unrevealed powers to emerge. The word is Satva and its hieroglyphic spelling tells you what to do.
In order to bring in the lightning, get to the highest, or the lowest place you know, mount your cross and sound the word. The result will be an inflow of energy that produces greater…
The mountain is the causal body on the higher mental plane. The valley is the earth star. The mountain is Moses and the burning bush. The valley is Inanna being flayed upon the hook by her sister Ereshkigal. Psychologically the mountain and the valley are dark nights of the soul when it has reached the end of everything it knows. It is existential crisis produced by the…
One meaning of ‘Sat’ is ‘truth’ or ‘that which is real’ and ‘Va’ can also mean ‘to go’, so using the word Satva is…
The inflow, the act of grace, if and when it comes produces integration - the overlapping Vs of the soul and personality which allow for the inflow of the monadic energy. Something moves as a result - kundalini purifies or vitalises something in the matter. Insight or realisation comes to the consciousness and/or something breaks open in the heart and the way forward becomes apparent again. When energy flows in then for a moment it is also possible to experience the source of that energy. The identity can travel up the lightning - be lifted up - so that for a timeless moment one experiences oneself as the monad, takes the perspective of the galactic centre, senses the greater whole of which one is a part. Or travels down the lightning - descends - so that for a timeless moment, one is the core of…
This is a Mantram to use to support the experience of those moments. Mantram of Life There is no soul. There is no time. There is no space. There is only Life. One Life. This Life I am. My will is for all my other selves to know me at their core as the essence, the…
The soul has the right to call on spiritual fire. It is part of its divine heritage. The soul can accelerate its evolution - choose its burn rate - in the world of stellar evolution. This is the use of the will. It can also vastly increase its effectiveness by identifying with the wider soul field of which it forms a part. This is the use of love. The soul can also bring harmony to the process of initiation by the regulation and rhythmic application of fire. This is the use of soul intelligence. When you stand at the edge of everything you know and have been thus far able to achieve,…
An individual who acts on behalf of the collective can have access to collective energy. This is a form of spiritual underwriting. When one soul experiences its freedom and realises that this is inherent in the core of all human souls - and not simply a factor of separative achievement - then it cannot help but offer itself in service to that freedom in all others. In Buddhism this is the bodhisattva vow. This expression of dedication can be…

Chapter Six — Dark Power
Evolution is the result of the pressure of the infinite upon the finite the eternal through the temporal the one Life vibrating in and through the core of the heart of all beings That Life calls to Life induces Life IS an electric current of dark power that effortlessly supernovas the soul of the world
you become a lightning rod in your environment. You are going to affect the world around you, not simply by your words or actions but as a result of your presence. An initiated embodied soul is a radiation of life, a living current of spiritual power. An initiated group has exponentially more potency.
When one can stably stand as a soul in the world - when the love of the soul has mastered the survival instinct in the base centre and the third initiation has been taken - then one can also act as a stable centre for group soul endeavour, whether that be the landing of a temple or the creation of another project that serves the collective. In a world where most people are still identified with their personalities, authentic or inauthentic, those who know who they are as souls have power. They are motivated by different drives and source their support from deeper dimensions of being. They are agents of evolution. This of course also generates karma, which is one of the reasons people can be reluctant to initiate and claim their own power because they instinctively know that power will produce effects on the web of life around them.
If it is primarily the personality (and remember that a new initiate of even the third degree is still identified with their personality at least one-third of the time) then that power will be used to gain what the personality values - often some version of money, sex, power or leverage over others. If the soul is in the driver’s seat then that power, that current of life, will be used to serve the soul of others and the world. The current of immortality is sourced via the monad, which is itself part of the eternal and infinite. It forms an intrinsic part of the ground of being. When the personal self encounters that ground in its own core, it can be tempted to try to acquire the attributes of that deeper life. In its simplest form the personal self wants to be immortal, to live forever. We see this denial of death in so many forms in modern society from cryogenics to the beauty industry.
Serving the one life which is everywhere present in all beings and supporting them to become aware of it is the natural result. Identification (as this one life) shifts from the personal self as the centre to the universal self as the centre. The ancient Egyptian texts talked about the awakening to the monad, the eye of God, in this way.
The EYE of GOD The Egyptian Book of Coming Forth by Day The eye opens seeing old men, women and children. The eye opens seeing gods, flesh, vapors. The eye recalls the beauty of the ordinary. It sees me, therefore I am. As such are we all created. It watches and pierces the heart. Who knows its name? Call it love, creation, conspiracy. Call it an impossible sky hung with moons and stars. It is yesterday or tomorrow, a million years traveling. The sun circles and the hawk. We follow a flow. Thus looked upon the world receives its god. I lived in the delta in a house of mud when I first felt its glance. I lived in its fire and never knew. I was asleep, dreaming blue dreams in the egg of the world. The eye opened and closed, blinking once perhaps as it does every million years, and I came from unknowing into knowing. I left my hut yawning. I was naked in a bed of light. I shone like day. I opened like a purple flower at dawn. I am in the eye of god, resting in its blue orb. Golden eyelids encircle me. Eyelashes grow like stalks of dark truth. I see what I never dared – beyond the bucket banging the well, beyond mountains pushing up dirt. Light shimmers in every blade of grass, gods dance in every leaf, blue and gold fires leap from my pores. I shine in and out of life. A thousand forms have I, wholly mine – man and hawk, sycamore, lotus and fig. I please myself to be born and to die over again. I walk a flowered path bordered by a million years. Season to season I will change as a leaf greening. I flow as blood through flesh. The eye opens and closes, and then… What lives in the gods and rivers lives in me, parts of the whole, one in One. I take my journey seriously. I’ve seen mountains, deserts and seas. Going nowhere one morning I suddenly entered…
All things are beheld in the eye of god. We are his bodies. His time moves in our bellies. There is no season in which heaven does not hold the shape of its beloved, no time in which the earth does not sing. Under the sun, flamingos nod and bow and walk. Birds of the air spin in countless exhaled breaths. We are growing, remembering, forgetting, becoming. The many are one face changing expression. The eye is everywhere. There is no act it does not see, no desire it can not hold, no secret that can not be known. The heavens speak. The flame bursts on your cheeks. Things are possible. In a moment we live a million years, a thousand lives in a breath. Behold the eye that holds you. Without hands, it made you. You will be its hands. Without tongue, you become its tongue. Your work is its will. If what you make – your body, your love, your…
When we source our presence, our identity and our actions in the eternal then we imbue the temporal and finite world with its essence. This is not a personal by-pass but an impregnation of the personal with the universal via the transpersonal. Dark power therefore is essentially a transfusion of life, an electrical transmission of energy. An initiate or an initiate group is a lightning rod - a vertical pillar that connects the kundalini at the core of the earth with the monadic fire at the centre of the galaxy via the embodied soul. The monad is essentially that current of life, the…
In electrical systems you can induce current to flow by putting a wire in an electromagnetic field, and you can generate an electromagnetic field by running electrical current through a wire. In addition, running…
In a group field therefore when the current of life is flowing it is both supporting the flow in others as well as helping generate a more extensive soul field. Electrical circuits can be arranged in series (R1 and R2) or in parallel (R3 and R4). If they are in series and the current stops flowing through one resistor, the whole circuit stops. When they are arranged in parallel then if one resistor stops flowing the current still flows through the other and the circuit is complete. In coherent groups, then, the current can still flow whether or not individual members are ‘on’ from one day…
Notice how the symbol for Aquarius expresses the parallel arrangement of electrical energy which is also the ‘water of life’. When electrical current is run through a wire it encounters resistance. The more resistance the more electrons are knocked out of their orbits in the substance the current is passing through, and the more heat and light is produced. This is why high resistance metals like tungsten are used for making light bulbs. In the life of the initiate there is more resistance in the early stages of the process. This is why the ‘born again’ experience is accompanied by so much outer expression, activity and enthusiasm. This is in effect, resistance in the wire. By the time the fifth initiation is taken there is very little resistance and the current…
the individual the monad is the current of life, the soul is the electromagnetic field and the personality is the wire grounded in the earth. The first effect of monadic contact is often an inflation of the personal self because it has experienced something amazing - a current of electrical fire, a transmission, a touch of eternal life. The emphasis is still on the little ‘I’ that has had the experience, seen the light and so on, rather than on the source of the experience. In the middle stages of the initiatory process the expansion shifts to the soul. The effect of the revelation of the monad at the core of the soul is to make it…
It is said that the Aquarian Age can either be a period of mass initiation, technologically driven freedom and the flowering of the soul of humanity OR an age of mass slavery, technologically driven control and regulation - a mummification of the human spirit. The seeds of both possibilities are apparent, and no doubt both will put in an appearance.
The spiritual science of governance is essentially the adjustment of this flow of current that expresses between the pole of planetary purpose - the reservoir of monadic life - and the pole of planetary kundalini. A ‘governor’ in a car regulates the flow of gasoline to the motor in order to maintain a certain speed under different loads.
Spiritual governance is about adjusting the flow of current so that the evolutionary process is in harmony with the capacity and development of the forms through which it is expressing. We can feel this process at work in our own experience by sensing our own evolutionary current. Are we ahead or behind schedule in our life expression? Has the personality had too much contact with the monad for a while and needs to integrate and ground, or does it need a little more lightning? The soul, as the middle principle, is the arbiter of the process.
The intelligence required to work directly with this current of life will also be developed in groups during the Aquarian Age and result in different forms and expressions of power. In personality-based group power structures, power is often located in the individual by assigning roles and creating complex forms of exchange. Power is essentially transactional. Soul power is more generative and abundant, as the creative wellsprings in each are accessed. Monadic power is essentially about Life. It is not about ‘who is in charge?’ but ‘where is the charge?’ While there will inevitably be some individuals who act more often as lightning rods or channels for kundalini uprisings in the field because of their experience and development, the group as a whole is training itself to sense the current and not get attached to the individuality it is coming through. Where is LIFE emerging? When all the embodied souls are turned towards this question in a group then an aura of expectancy is palpable. They come alive together and become more alive than each is able to be on their own. This is because the capacity and sensing apparatus of the group as a whole is so much greater than that of the individual. Of course the downside is that the calibration of the group as an instrument for the revelation of life is a process which requires energy, effort, patience and perseverance through the initiatory fires that inevitably burn inside and between individuals. This is…
Some of us ‘…
more, have more access to the lightning and the higher vision. Some of us ‘sense’ more, have more access to the vibration of the dark in matter. Some of us have greater capacity to love. In a soul culture we have to learn when it is useful to support others with our gifts, and when they need to awaken something in themselves. When is their relative ‘blindness’ or ‘insensitivity’ a gift that is teaching them, and when is it something that needs to be lovingly penetrated? This wisdom of the soul is gradually acquired through experience and practice. Whether or not…
One definition of leadership is “the subjective and often invisible wielding of life energy (the dark) within a soul field of group evolution”. In the early stages it is best not to attempt to direct this energy but simply transmit it, trusting…
Apocalypse comes before Apocatastasis. Globally we are in such an emergence crisis now, and for those seeking to become aware of and identify with the emergent dark, the recommendation is to restrain the urge to join one or other side of any crisis.
Only the soul is able to contain the paradox of duality and stay loving. Rilke advocates this: Take your well-disciplined strengths and stretch them between the two opposing poles. Because inside human beings is where God learns.
According to Wikipedia the major types of political systems on the planet are democracies, monarchies, oligarchies, authoritarian and totalitarian regimes. Often the cause of freedom is promoted as being democracy (where the power is with the people) versus some form of authority (where the power rests with a smaller group). What if the real difference is not the system that channels the power but the type of power that is being channelled? In a personality-based democracy what really is in charge is the collective desire for the personal self to be foremost. In a personality-based monarchy it is the personality of the ruler that is paramount. Soul-based systems have love at the centre.
But to actively choose together those souls among us that have the deepest connection to the dark - initiates of the fifth degree - requires that we ourselves choose the dark to be important in our own self-governing. Mass education and awareness of the emergent energy of the monad will be required before we choose monadic leaders. In the meantime, we can and will begin to elect leaders who are deeply anchored in soul - initiates of the third degree - as the soul increasingly becomes more influential in our global culture. This is a process of revelation.
Those who are most fitted to wield power in the civilisation that is emergent are already amongst us, we simply cannot yet see them for two main reasons. The political systems as they are, actively weed out those with the qualities we need by natural selection. They self-select for compromise of soul values in the name of pragmatism. Secondly, we the people have not developed the mechanisms by which to detect them. We have difficulty seeing people, gods, nature, others - as they truly are, but tend to make them in our own image. We look through our own auras and thus colour what we see with all of the unresolved issues in our own system. We can only see and appreciate…
One of the principles of the monad is that there is only one universal life - the same life that lives at the core of all things. However, life at the core - like the pupil of an eye, or the centre of a galaxy - can be more or less dilated. All black holes are essentially a manifestation of the same essence, but vary hugely in their expression. A single stellar black hole is expressing quite differently from a supermassive black hole at the core of a galaxy. Similarly individual humans may have their monad more or less dilated. We might say that a fifth degree initiate has a strongly dilated monad because they are identified with it, whereas in the second degree initiate it is a constricted point. They are aware of it only at times of great crisis, and the rest of the time the identity rests largely in the personality and increasingly in the soul. Learning to see ‘in the dark light’ is a gradual and revelatory process,…
Politically then, when we have made the transition to a more soul-based culture as the process of global initiation proceeds, we may be capable of contemplating monadic leadership. Our highest aspirations at the moment are symbolised by stars. For example those of the European Union or the stars on the flag of the United States. We intuitively know that groups of souls (individual or national) coming together in the greater interests of the whole can and should produce a better political climate. This is constellational thinking. It is aspirational, because in practice the greater good is powerfully undermined by self-interest - for example on the Security Council of the United Nations. A monadic political structure would have the galaxy and the black hole at its core as a minimum orientating symbol. When galaxies come together the cores merge to create supermassive black holes. When those who are identified with their monadic core come together their cores merge. The one life at the centre of one core recognises itself at the centre of the other. Souls recognise the ‘thou’…
Power of the Personality Power of the Soul Power of the Monad Acquired Inherent Intrinsic Knowledge Wisdom Life Quantity Quality Essence Uniformity Unanimity Una Vita…
In a galactic system, synthesis results in differentiation. What this means is that the more the cores are recognised as one, the more diversity is able to be embraced in the personality. Power dynamics in the personality seek to produce uniformity. Power dynamics in the soul seek to produce…
A political system that integrated both democratic values and authoritarian ones would be layered. Authority here would not be seen as ‘power over’ because it would be voluntarily given to those beings who were the most free - because of their intrinsic spiritual authority - of any desire to control others. Love and freedom would be recognised as inherent and intrinsic attributes of being alive, and those who were most deeply expressing…
Although the term ‘elect’ is used here, it is not really a process of choosing but more of revelation. We do not choose our soul purpose, it is simply revealed to the personality as being there all along; and the same with the monad. Humanity would simply be waking up to what already IS but has so far been unrevealed. The fifth degree initiates are already guiding humanity but behind the scenes, invisible to a society that is focused on material wellbeing and the pursuit of individual happiness. Their cores are knowingly fused, creating a supermassive reservoir of life that is linked to planetary kundalini. They are a spiritual…
