(Divine responsiveness, prophetic remedy, and conditions for healing)
‘Allah says, ‘I react according to My servant’s attitude towards me, and I am with him if he supplicates Me.’”
…but a revelation revealed, taught to him by one terrible in power. (An-Najm:4-5) The Prophet said, “There is a remedy for every illness, and when the remedy is applied to the disease it is cured with the permission of Allah, the Exalted and Glorious.”
- The place must be cleared of any apparent sign of disobedience: The room of treatment must not contain any statutes, pictures, Tama’im (amulets), alcohol, drugs, cigarettes, musical instruments, dogs, and pigs. These prevent angels from entering the place. Abu Talha was quoted as saying: “The Prophet said, ‘The angels will not enter a place where there is a dog or a picture (of a living creature)…’”
(Satan’s nature: fire, blood, and invisible circulation)
The Prophet also said in a Hadith: “Verily, Satan circulates in the body like blood”. Therefore, if he had remained in his original form of fire, he would have burnt mankind.
Abdallah bin ‘Umarreported that the Prophet said: “When any one of you intends to eat, he should eat with his right hand, and when he intends to drink, he should drink with his right hand; for Satan eats with his left hand and drinks with his left hand.”
He and his tribe see you from where you do not see them refers to when Satan is in his original state.
who heard al-Shafi‘i say: ‘We reject the testimony of anyone who claims that he has actually seen a Jinn, unless the person is a prophet”.
The Prophetsaid: “Jinn can change into snakes, the way the Children of Israel were transformed into monkeys and pigs (as punishment from Allah)”. Abu Qulabahreported that the Prophet said: “Had dogs not been a nation, I would have ordered them all to be killed, but I dread to destroy a whole nation. Therefore, (you may) kill any black dog, for it is a demon or represents one”.
(Blackness, animals, and the visible signs of unseen forces)
Ibn Taymiyah has said: “The black dog is the Devil of the dogs, and Jinn transform themselves into its shape, and they do the same in the form of the black cat; for blackness gathers the forces of evil…”.
Mujahid: They fear you as much as you fear them. So whenever you meet them, do not show your fear – it will encourage them to attack you; attack them instead and they will run away.
Ibn al-Juzayy said: “The reason why they spread in that time is that they can move more easily at night than during the day, because darkness gathers evil forces. From this context comes the Hadith of Abu Dharr, in which the Prophet said: ‘The black dog is a devil’”. Some animals can see devils Abu Hurayranarrated that Prophet said: “When you hear the crowing of a cockerel, ask for Allah’s blessings for (their crowing indicates that) they have seen an angel. When you hear the braying of donkeys, seek refuge with Allah from Satan for (their braying indicates that) they have seen a devil.”
